Kadeem Scott, Sarah King, and Lauren Hanley

Posted Tuesday, April 10, 2007 by John-paul Kaminski
New Runner Kadeem Scott continued his outstanding athletic accomplishments with wins in three events. Beating one of the area's best 100m runners and one the state's top wrestlers, Kadeem edged out Croton's Steven Boulos in the 100m. He later returned to blow the competition away in the 200m. At the end of the meet, Scott finished the 4x100m in the dark, but still winning his third event of the day for his team. Kadeem also helped out by taking a second in the long jump.

7th Grade standout Sarah King ran a veteran's style race, waiting till the last lap of the 2 mile to come around one of the Section's best cross country runners to win her first of many two mile races. But let's not forget that 2 hours before, she also helped her team win the 2-mile relay race. The rest of Section 1 girls had better get training in order to beat this little bolt of lightning.

9th Grader and 3 year vet. Lauren Hanley also was part of a very strong and winning 2-mile relay team, and then totally dominated her opponents today in the 800m. Hanley knew that it was very important for her TEAM that she run/win this race for the team. Hanley, who is typically the Eagles' 1500m specialist, stepped up to help seal the deal for the team, leading the lady Eagles to a win in their first race of season.

Great Job to all three of you.
