Rye Neck Meet Boys Results

Posted Thursday, May 03, 2007 by Perry King
Eagles enjoy dominating romp over three outmatched opponents to run record to 7-3 to end regular season. Many great performances, and highlights include:

--Kadeem continues to amaze with times in the 100 and 200 that would have taken either first or second in last year's sectional, a race that is still 4 weeks in the future. Alan is also in range for medals in both events. Looking awesome.

--Kevin continues to lower his 110 hurdles time to a level that will be solid in the postseason, and the 400 hurdles time is also within placing territory. Julian has joined him for a good chance in the 110 at the sectional.

--Pat N. knocked a few more seconds off his 1600 time without being pushed hard. Competition will be tough in the sectional, but a further 16 second improvement in the next month is doable.

--Both Patrick and Brendan are striding in medal territory for the 3200, though its hard to know how many runners will compete in the sectional.

--Mike and Jon have entered the discus medaling zone, and the shot throws are getting close.

--In the jumps, Kadeem, Kevin, and Charles have moved into possible medal range in the long, high, and triple jumps. And add in Ramson's 2nd place in the triple for probably one of Dobbs rare 1-2's in the event in the last 30 years, the day was special.

--With decent handoffs, the 400 relay should challenge for a top spot, and the 3200 relay is probably insured of a medal.

Meet results from the Journal News below, with the names corrected from the doozies they put in (took me a while to figure out who the second place shot guy was).
