2 Tough as Nails Runners help their TEAM

As a runner I would have done anything to help my team as a Coach I'm not nearly as tough. At the start of the Brewster Bear Classic The lady Eagles were instructed that they had no back up and even had a 7th grade runner in their top 5 ( Weirsma is VERY TOUGH) implying that all of the runners must finish the race. What I did not mean was finish if you’re passing out or have totally injured yourself. Lauren Hanley and Karen Maehara earned this Tough as nails title by putting the team before themselves. As a coach I could never ask anymore of an athlete. I am particularly proud of these 2 Girls. AWSOME Job girls and good luck the rest of the season.
