When you're likely breaking the school record in the 100 meters while your coach is screaming for you to shut it down and save some energy, you know your giving far more than 100% effort.
When as a team captain you hear your coach giving an impassioned pre-meet "pep" talk and then after three exhausting winning races you steel yourself to make sure his "Do not let her pass you" orders are carried out in an end-of-day relay with a school record bonus, you know you have shown the meaning of leadership.
When despite heavy obstacles you are determined to become the best in an event that no one else dares venture into and you continuously raise your level until you're a League champion, you are tops at taking on challenges.
Cheers to Alan, Lauren, and Ramson for jobs well done. Next week's nominations will be for the County meet.
