Paulina Busts Out Still More for Bearcats

The Binghamton Bearcats XC team - 2008

Ex-Eagle captain Paulina Nunez continued her rise for the Binghamton Bearcats with a team 4th place finish at the Lehigh Paul Short Invite on Friday, Oct. 3. Running against some of the top teams in the nation, the Bearcats finished 31st of 43 teams in a meet won by West Virginia.

Paulina finished the 6K course 177th out of 300 runners in a time of 23:04, just 4 seconds behind Binghamton's #3 runner Alicia Finger. Paulina ran a good second half race to move up 15 places from the mile point and move closer to top teammates Jamie Shulte and Ashley Horton. Jennifer Hastings got the Bearcats' 5th spot, and Albertus Magnus alum and current Bearcat Jackie McGowan took 252nd as the team's #7 runner.

The Binghamton men finished 20th out of 45 teams. The team's next race is on Saturday, October 18, at the Albany Invitational.
